The Electronic Meter
Driver Controller
Trident’s Driver Controller is a versatile product designed to streamline delivery operations. It offers automatic line change and multi-compartment deliveries, ensuring efficient and organized delivery processes. The system includes product grade protection features, preventing cross-contamination between different products.
Furthermore, it boasts a user-friendly interface with a complete summary screen, enabling drivers to review delivery tasks at a glance. This intuitive design reduces training time, making it a user-friendly solution for delivery personnel.
Meter Controller
The Trident Metering System delivers the first British designed and manufactured meter head to the UK Market.
The Electronic Display Head is standalone and connected to the Meter Controller via a four wire bus system. This gives us the ability to replicate display heads all around the truck if required.
The user interface has been designed to be intuitive, reducing training time to an absolute minimum for the operator.
Loading information is inputted and displayed on the startup screen. The volume is then reduced relative to deliveries made.
The delivery choices are then made through a menu system. After selection the choices made are held on the screen giving the operator an audit trail as to what has been selected. Changes can be made at any time by going back through the menu. Line changes and follow on line changes are pre configured then enacted automatically. Historic transactions are held in the Meter Controller and then backed up to the In-cab Computer. Stored transactions are archived to hold at least 3 years of data.

Self Contained Module
The Meter Controller is a standalone unit that plugs into the Valve Control Module. Once the meter has been calibrated the Meter Controller unit is mechanically sealed and is designed to restrict access unless the metrology seal is removed.
The Meter Controller can be wired to the meter pulsar, dual temperature probe, line pressure transducer, wet leg sensor and product head pressure transducer. These components make up the metrology system they are all mechanically sealed.
Solenoid operated valve island fitted controlling the liquid valves to the tank and pump system. The module is a self contained unit designed to be easily removable from the truck. All the pneumatic lines are connected through 3 off multi pin quick release connectors.
In Cab Computer
The Trident system utilizes a thermal printer capable of printing graphics. It is housed in a stainless steel cabinet together with the ‘In-cab Computer’. As both units are housed together wiring is kept to an absolute minimum.
The computer has communication modules built in giving facilities for remote operation of the truck, GPS and GPRS are also built in. Each system will be fitted with a SIM card so communication between truck and a cloud based computer can take place.
Firmware updates can be remotely carried out as well as computer hard and software diagnostics. A third party interface has been built in to allow third party hardware to be connected.
The Manifold
Our cutting-edge Manifold, designed to revolutionize fuel management across multiple compartments with utmost efficiency.
At the heart of this innovation lies our patented collector, featuring a unique design with a minimum 11-degree angle. This design facilitates the escape of entrained air and ensures seamless product drainage, regardless of the parking position.
Additionally, our Manifold is equipped with user-friendly API handles, simplifying the process of opening and closing the foot valve for bottom loading operations.
The Pump
The pump used within the Trident system is the tried and tested Blackmer vane pump.
When performing a preset delivery our innovative design feeds air into the relief valve allowing the pump flow rate to increase and decrease in a controlled manner. Our control system monitors flow rate from the meter and line pressure.
Capturing this information allows the operator to control the flow rate and have full control for very accurate cut off when a preset delivery is set.
